A Gradient Swatch is a color sample consisting of two or more colors where the colors grade into each other.
You can create a Gradient Swatch from the panel menu in the panel Swatches by selecting New Gradient Swatch…

1. Enter the name of your Gradient Swatch.
2. Under Type, select whether the gradient must be Linear or Radial.

Linear gradient:

Radial gradient:

3. In Stop Colour you must specify what color will be used to mix the color in the selected color stop. If you have already mixed a color in advance and saved it as a Swatch, you can also choose to display your Swatches from this alternative box.
TIP: A Stop Colour is a simple change in color, in the above illustrations there are two color stops, one white and one black.

4. Depending on your choice in Stop Colour, you can choose your color from the list of Swatches or as shown in the example, mix your stop color by using the triangular sliders.

5. Gradient Ramp shows you how your gradient is built up. You must click a Stop Colour to change the settings. A selected color stop appears with a black triangle, a non-selected color stop appears with a gray triangle.
6. In Location you can change the percentage placement of a color stop on the gradient

The extra price is not just for the logo; you pay for better glass that will not tire your eyes when looking out of them. It’s true; a bad pair of sunglasses may give you a headache since the light they send to your eyes isn’t harmonic. Wayfarer solbriller is wellknown for giving a good light.
When giving that extra for a pair of glasses you should invest in a pair that suits you, so you can use the same for years instead of buying a new pair every year. A timeless model from Tom ford solbriller can be used again and again without becomming out of date, like the wayfarer. Another great choice could be Oakley solbriller which is used by many celebrities and are known both for their quality and their great designs.

Choosing an appropriate internet solution

The market of internet solutions are growing and there are many possibilities. Many providers, various prices and different solutions for connection. If you’re not very certain on your own needs this article may give you an idea of the different possibilities you have today.
If you mainly use your laptop, live by yourself or just travel alot the best solution for you would be 4g mobile broadband which is a proper internet connection in a USB-modem. It’s almost as fast as regular broadband and makes you able of using your PC anywhere you’d like. More information on where you buy this kind of broadband is to find at this site: 4g internet, this sites is also informing about providers, and is a great guide on prices vs speed.

If you  have more computers or are living with friends or family, a regular internet connection should be more suited for you. For almost the same price, more computers can go online at the same time, and it’s possible to connect a nas-server so you can all share your movies ect. and make it easy to access each others musiclibrary.. Should this sound more appealing to you bredbånd is a guide, with the same information as the one for 4g. A good recommandation though could be Telia, which is one of the best providers in Europe: http://www.hurtigbredbaand.dk/teleudbydere/telia-bredband. Good luck.

The History Of The Science Of Chemistry

The earliest recorded use of what would now be considered the science of chemistry dates back to 1000 BC when early human civilizations began to look closely at how material could be transformed using heat, pressure and chemical reactions. Although not called chemistry, early groups learned to combine different compounds and elements in nature to create new and unique processes and materials. This included creating metals out of ore and making different types of food such as beer, wine, cheese and materials such as glass.
The first scientists in the early Greek, Roman, Chinese, Indian and Mayan cultures thought that all materials in the physical earth were composed of base elements that included air, water, fire and earth. From this basic start more specified branches of pseudo chemistry arose, including the famous study of alchemy. In these early chemistry pursuits the goal was to find a way to turn all metals into gold and to find a material that would grant eternal life.
By the mid 1500′s many chemists had come forward to debunk the process of alchemy but used the information to begin to systematically name various elements and compounds and record the specifics of various chemical reactions. From this research came some of the current understanding of chemistry including Boyle’s Law, the atomic theory of matter, Dalton’s law and virtually all the foundation for the modern science of chemistry.

Just What Is Chemistry?

Chemistry is a term used in many different ways. However, in scientific terms it is the science of matter and the study of the changes that occur to matter. In its most basic sense it is the discovery, testing and study of the way that matter is created, composed, behaves, forms and reacts. Chemical reactions are therefore part of the process of chemistry, allowing one or more types of matter to be altered on a physical, molecular or elemental level.

There are several subcategories or specializations with the general field of chemistry. These include the inorganic elements, which are elements not composed of carbon but containing other elements such as salts and metals. Organic chemistry is based on matter that contains carbon, however there is also overlap between these two specific branches of chemistry.

Biochemistry is focused in on the action, reaction and components found within living systems, also known as biological organisms. Biochemistry is further divided into subcategories and specializations such as neurochemistry, which is the study of the chemical composition of the neurological system.

Other specializations within the field of chemistry include physical chemistry and analytical chemistry. These two branches of chemistry are some of the oldest, but they are also the areas of chemistry where amazing new discoveries are made that enhance the world around us.

Beyond The Basics – Tetrahedron Shapes As Works Of Art

The unique balance of the tetrahedron shape with its four sides always meeting in groups of three at a vertex makes this a unique design in the natural world. In the natural world tetrahedron shapes in different elements such as silicon will determine what shapes the crystals formed by these molecules will take.
In the art world as well as in the scientific world the tetrahedron shape poses may possibilities. Polyhedra, which are multi-sided tetrahedra, can be used to create everything from starburst types of designs though to solid cubes. Amazingly five tetrahedral can be placed together to form a cube and with just a bit of line alteration a tetrahedron can be tiled in space, creating endless locking designs. The stella octangula is formed by combining two tetrahedron and is actually the basis of the 1948 M.C Escher wood engraving aptly titled “Stars”.
The more complex formations that are based on the simple tetrahedron include the octahedron with its six vertices and the much more complex cuboctahedron with its 12 vertices. Each of these shapes is possible in both a right and a left handed form, completing mirror images of each other. The clean lines and the crisp shape of the tetrahedron, regardless of its form, make it a universally important shape in all types of chemistry as well as art.

The Amazing Tetrahedron

The tetrahedron is a very common shape but one that has a significant role in many of the things we take for granted every day. A true tetrahedron is shaped like a pyramid with four faces or sides with three always meeting at a vertex. Regular tetrahedrons have all four sides of the shape equal in size or equilateral, producing one of the Platonic solids. The other four of the five Platonic solids are the cube, octahedron, dodecahedron and the icosahedron. A tetrahedron with different sizes of sides can also occur with seven possible options. All still have three different sides meeting at the vertices but there are different angles provided making them unique in their appearance.
Besides being just an interesting shape for game pieces and building blocks, the tetrahedron is also the shape of different chemical materials. The ammonium ion is tetrahedral in shape as are the components of methane gas. This shape is important in how these ions interact with each other at a molecular level.
The shape of the tetrahedron is also important in electricity and enhancing the capacity and design of different electronic components. It is possible to attach four resistors into a tetrahedron shape, three equidistant at the bottom and one at the top, to calculations on the resistance between any vertices. This is due to the shape of the tetrahedron and the flow of electricity along specific paths in the shape.

Discovering The Wonder Of Chemistry

For many people chemistry was just a subject in school that had some pretty cool experiments in the lab but a lot of complicated theories in the classroom and lecture hall. However, chemistry and all its structures is actually the foundation of literally everything in both the natural world as well as the world created by man. Developing an in depth understanding of the importance of chemistry in everything we do, see and touch is a great way to involve everyone from younger kids to senior citizens in learning, experiencing and exploring science around us.
Learning about the various structures found in the macro and micro world of chemistry is fascinating. This includes everything from the tetrahedron shapes in electrons, molecules and atoms, through to the chemical components of our daily food. Don’t forget about all the chemicals and materials used in amazing types of products and medicines is really interesting and a great part of lifelong learning.
Creating a world that has a better understanding of the science behind living is essential. Not only will a better understanding of chemistry help improve current parts of our world but it will also inspire inventions and improvements in the future. Focusing in on the chemistry of the world around us will help our generation as well as generations to come to think more scientifically to explore possibilities not yet even imagined.
